267 N Main Street is the “Palmer House,” a beautiful five-story former hotel building built in 1889. Most recently, it was also used for dormitories for Herkimer College and subsequently single-room occupancy (SRO) housing. Today, the X-sqft is fully vacant and available for sale for $1 million. A surface parking lot is located behind the building.

The building is a dominating presence on the local landscape and the goal is to see the site renovated into traditional housing units. The project could leverage previous investment and utilize additional funding opportunities, including DRI, BOA Pre-Development, Historic Tax Crefits, and BCP tax credits to fill funding gaps.
